Hi, I'm Will Duru, a personal trainer based in London and the founder of 12REPS. Over the past decade, I've had the privilege of watching hundreds of people discover strength they didn't know they had and smash goals they once thought were out of reach. These transformations—that's what drives me.

What is 12reps?

12REPS is a strength training app with a real personal trainer behind it. Will Duru — a London-based PT with over 10 years’ experience — designs the programmes, creates the exercise tutorials, and is available to answer your questions directly.

You get weekly workouts tailored to your goals and equipment, 1,500+ exercises with video demonstrations, and the ability to message Will when you need help. It’s the closest thing to having a PT in your pocket.

12REPS gives you a personal trainer experience through your phone. Here’s how it works:

1. Tell us about you

When you sign up, you answer a few questions: your goal (build muscle, lose fat, get stronger), your experience level, what equipment you have access to, and how many days a week you can train.

2. Get your programme

Based on your answers, you receive a structured training programme designed by Will Duru, a certified PT with over 10 years’ experience. This isn’t random exercise generation — it’s proper programming with progressive overload built in.

3. Train

Open the app, start your workout, and follow along. Each exercise has a video demonstration showing proper form. Log your sets, reps, and weights as you go — takes seconds.

4. Progress

The app tracks everything. You’ll see your lifts going up, your volume increasing, and your consistency building over time. Will adjusts your programme as you progress.

5. Get support

This is where 12REPS is different:

  • Message Will — Ask questions, flag issues, get advice. He replies within 24 hours.
  • Submit form checks — Record a 15-second video of any lift. Will watches it and tells you what to fix.

  • Exercise tutorials — Every exercise has a video demonstration with coaching cues from Will. Watch it, learn it, then do it.
  • Form checks — Record yourself doing a lift, send it to Will, get feedback. This is how you learn proper technique without a PT standing next to you.
  • Direct messaging — Stuck on something? Confused about your programme? Message Will or the team directly. We will reply within 24 hours.
  • Beginner-friendly programmes — We won’t throw you into a powerlifting peaking cycle. You’ll start with the basics and build from there.
  • Squad support — Join a group of others at a similar level. Ask questions, share wins, and know you’re not figuring this out alone.
